Prof Richard C. Sha Richard C. Sha is Professor of Literature and Member of the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience at American University in Washington. He is the author or editor of Romanticism and the Emotions (with Joel Faflak) (Cambridge UP 2014) and Perverse Romanticism: Aesthetics and Sexuality in Britain, 1750-1832 (JHUP, 2009). He has recently completed a study of how scientists in the Romantic period understood the imagination, for which he has received an NEH Fellowship (2012-13) and an American Philosophical Society Benjamin Franklin Grant.
