Dr Luuk Huitink

Luuk Huitink is a postdoctoral research fellow at the ERC project ‘Experience in Teleology in Ancient Narrative’ (FP/2007-2013, Grant Agreement n. 312321) at the University of Heidelberg and received is DPhil from the University of Oxford. His research focuses on ancient rhetorical and linguistic conceptions of ‘vivid writing’. He also has a strong interest in Greek linguistics, and is a co-author of the Cambridge Grammar of Classical Greek (in press with CUP), as well as in narrative theory, being a contributor to Brill’s series Studies in Ancient Narrative. Together with Tim Rood he is preparing a Green & Yellow edition of Xenophon’s Anabasis, books III and IV.
